This collection contains bulletins written by Edward H. Forbush for the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture in his position as Massachusetts State Ornithologist. The bulletins, grouped by year from 1918-1927, include information on weather and bird sightings, questions and answers, and other pertinent information to Massachusetts birders.

Biographical Note
Edward H. Forbush, born 1858, was a prominent ornithologist in Massachusetts. He served as one of the founding members and second president of the Massachusetts Audubon Society from 1914-1925 in addition to his role as state ornithologist from 1908 to his death in 1929. Forbush is most noted for his three volume guide to Massachusetts and New England birds and his work studying the heath hen.
