The images were created for the purpose of the charting and cartography of mountains and mountain ranges in Alaska and Canada, the Alps, the Grand Canyon, and other locations. These are silver gelatin prints, most of which measure 8x10 inches, but some larger and smaller sizes are found throughout the albums. Each album contains roughly 100 to 150 photographs.
