Charles W. Cobb Manuscripts
Content Description
This collection includes two manuscripts: “The Song of the Wood Thrush”, typewritten and including corrections in pen and pencil, and three copies of “The Song of the Meadow Lark”-one handwritten, two typewritten. Additionally, there is a postcard from Cobb to his wife, Mary B Cobb, regarding one of the songs described in the manuscripts.

Biographical Note
Charles Wiggins Cobb (1875-1949) was a mathematician and economist who lectured at Amherst College. He is most well-known for co-developing the Cobb-Douglas production function, used in economics.
